The Swedish Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association

SFAF is a nationwide association with 70 members. Its purpose is to promote Thoroughbred breeding and the development of horseracing in Sweden

SFAF works to assist Swedish breeders by facilitating in:

• monitoring and influencing the development within Swedish racing
• organize training sessions for the breeder
• market the Swedish-bred horse
• support the annual auctions organized by others
• sponsor races for Swedish-bred horses

Sweden has 5 Thoroughbred tracks and 60 days of competition are held every year both in flat and jumping races. Sweden’s two main tracks for Thoroughbred racing are Bro Park, which is situated northwest of Stockholm and Jägerso in Malmö.
